Акції

Акції (Ukrainian: “акції”) refers to financial instruments that represent an ownership stake in a company. When an individual purchases shares or stocks in a company, they acquire a portion of that company and, consequently, a claim on its assets and earnings. Акції can come in various forms, including ordinary shares and preferred shares, each with different rights and privileges.

Ordinary shares typically entitle shareholders to vote at company meetings and receive dividends, which are distributions of the company’s profits. Preferred shares usually have a fixed dividend rate and take precedence over ordinary shares in the event of liquidation but typically do not carry voting rights.

Investing in акції can offer opportunities for capital appreciation and income through dividends, but it also carries risks, as share prices can fluctuate based on market conditions and company performance. Holding акції means being a part of the company’s financial outcome—if the company does well, shareholders may benefit; if it performs poorly, shareholders can incur losses.

Overall, акції are a fundamental component of the capital markets, allowing individuals and institutions to invest in publicly traded companies.
